Chapter 1

Destiny was calling Hawk as he walked through marshes and ponds. He kept his eyes open in search of prey. "I'm able to see!" He exclaimed. Then he saw a fish jump out of a pond and back in.

He quietly dropped into hunters crouch and walked toward the pond. Then the fish jumped out of the water and Hawk swiped it with his claws and sank his teeth into it's scales. The fish struggled for a moment but then passed away.

Just then there was a sound. The sound was almost like whispering voices calling him. "Hawk!" The voice was clear and familiar.

"Hawk!" "Wha!" Hawk woke up. He couldn't see anymore. He relized it was his sister Snowy shaking him and yowling. "Wake up!" She yelled. "I'm awake!" He hissed. "Now now you don't need to get so mad at her." Their mother Fern walked in the room.

"Sorry Snowy." Hawk apoligized. "It's okay I shouldn't have eaven woke you in the first place." Snowy replied. "Great now lets go eat." Fern said then walked out of the room. "Coming!" Hawk ran after her. "Wait for me!" Snowy scampered toward them.

The three house cats ran down the stairs. Hawk zoomed in the kitchen and headed toward the scent of food. He stopped for a moment to see is the dish was there but then Snowy tumbled over him and went strait to the food. She dug her nose in and started eating. Hawk stood up and shook.

"Hey that's not fair! I was just making sure it was there." Hawk mewed. "Snowy you know better then to take advantage of your brothers blindness." Fern said. "Sorry." She mewed. "You can eat first." Then she slowly moved away from the dish.

When they all ate Hawk got bored. "Can we go outside?" He asked. "Sure." Fern mewed then they walked out. Hawk loved outside. The breeze the comfty grass and especially the fresh air. Then he heard voices.

"Hawk!" The voices called. Hawk stopped. "I need to go to the forest." He thought. "But how will I go withought my mother and sister seeing. Well I guess I'll just have to make a run for it."

He scampered into the forest. Behind him he could hear Snowy and Fern. "Where's he going?" Snowy asked. "Lets find him!" Fern said frightened. Hawk climbed up a tree and hid there. After awhile Fern and Snowy haven't showed up.

Hawk then lowered down the tree. He lost his grip and instantly fell to the ground. Then there were voices. Voices that were fadal. "Who's that?" "I don't know lets bring him to camp." "I'll go fetch Wishspirit." Then before Hawk knew it he drifted to sleep.

Chapter 2

Hawk woke up to unfamiliar scents and voices. "He's waking up!" A cat yowled. "Woundedwind give him space." A black cat spoke. "Fine bossy fur." Woundedwind mewed. "Go fetch Wishspirit." The black cat yowled. "Okay." Woundedwind mewed and ran out of the unfamiliar place. The black cat walked to Hawk. "Hi." He mewed. Just then a pretty white she-cat came in.

"Move Crowpaw!" She ordered. The black cat then moved out of the way. "Hello." The white she-cat said. "I'm Wishspirit." She finished speaking. "I'm Hawkkit." Hawkkit greeted. "You seem to show no fear." Wishspirit stared at him. "Why would I?" He asked. "You never met us before." She mewed calmly.

"So how would that be any different?" He asked. Just then two spotted cats came in. They had golden fur and looked like each other. "Greetings Jaguarheart and Brookstar." Wishspirit greeted them. They both nodded and looked at Hawk. Hawk stared at the cats. The she-cat walked to him. "Hello Im Bookstar and this is my brother Jaguarheart." She mewed. "I'm Hawk." Hawk said.

"Brookstar is leader of our clan." Jaguarheart mewed. "Leader? Clan?" Hawk was confused. "We'll explain later." Brookstar said. "We must announce your arrival." Wishspirit mewed. Crowpaw stared at Hawk. Hawk wondered if Crowpaw was interested in him. Crowpaw looked like he seen Hawk before. "Well lets go to the waterrock." Jaguarheart said and ran outside. The others followed but Crowpaw stayed behind.

Crowpaw walked to Hawk. "Hi." Hawk mewed curiously. "I know who you are." Crowpaw mewed. Hawk got a little scared. "How can he know who I am?" He thought. Then he stared at Crowpaw. Their fur colors matched and they both had the same blue eyes. "Who are you?" Hawk asked. "I'm your brother."

Hawk looked at the strange cat. "How could we be brothers?" He asked. "Um well it's simple actually. We kind of have the same mother but my father was a warrior. His name is Viperclaw. He is one of the strongest in the clan. Of course you're just a kittypet. You probably don't understand. My father took me in the clan. He thougt that was best for me." Crowpaw explained. Hawk's fur stood on end. "Just a kittypet!" He spat.

Crowpaw looked at him and he knew that the kittypet wouldn't defeat him. "What are you going to...." He was interapted by his father. "Come on lets go to the meeting." Viperclaw said then ran out. Crowpaw raced after him and Hawk followed. They arrived at the waterrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join benethe the waterrock for a clan meeting!" Brookstar yowled.

"Jaguarheart and Crowpaw found this cat and wish to train it." Brookstar mewed. "Hawk please stand on the waterrock." She said. All the cats started murmuring to one another. Then Brookstar spoke again. "This cat is blind and may have to be a medicine cat." Just then a cream colored tom kit stood up. "But you said I could be medicine cat!" He yelled. Hawk jumped back alarmed. He didn't want to make anyone upset.

Brookstar flicked her tail in signal to sit. "I'm sorry Mosskit." Brookstar said. Mosskit sat down angry. Brookstar looked at Hawk. This kit will be now known as Boulderkit because of his grey brown like coat. All the cats murmured then cheered his name. "Boulderkit, Boulderkit, Boulderkit!" Boulderkit stood proudly on the rock. "This is what I am ment for." He thought. Crowpaw let out a snarl then walked to the apprentices den.

Boulderkit felt sorrow for the black tom. "Why is he so upset?" He tought. The meeting broke up and Boulderkit heard Brookstar talking to another she-cat. "Angelflight you will nurse Boulderkit." Brookstar said. "Okay."The white she-cat said then Brookstar walked away.
